Features to know about

Lets You Vent in Any Weather: Angled Louvers Keep Rain and Debris Out

The MaxxAir II Vent Cover lets you open and run your roof vent even when it’s pouring rain. Its angled louvers let smoke, heat, and odors escape while blocking rainwater and debris from getting inside. You can keep your vent fan running to clear the air or cool things down without worrying about weather changes.

More Air Movement with Larger Openings: Twice the Vent Area of Standard Covers

This cover moves air better than most. The vent area is twice the size of standard covers, so more air gets in and out. The side vents also create cross-ventilation that helps push out heat buildup and stale air fast. Whether you’re cooking, showering, or cooling off your space, you get solid airflow without having to remove the cover.

Tough, UV-Resistant Protection: Built to Handle Sun, Hail, and Branches

Made from durable, high-density polyethylene, the MaxxAir II is built to last. It’s UV-resistant, so it won’t crack or fade from long days in the sun. The sturdy shell shields your vent from hail, falling branches, and road debris, keeping your roof vent safe through years of travel and weather exposure.

EZClip Pins Make It Simple: Quick Access for Cleaning and Maintenance

Four EZClip pins hold the cover in place and act like a hinge when you pop one side free. That means you can easily open or remove the cover to clean the vent or check the sealant underneath. When you’re done, slide the pins back in and lock them tight—no tools needed.

Installs Without Drilling on 2015-and-Newer MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents

If your vent has molded mounting tabs, this cover installs with no drilling at all. Just slide the EZClip pins through the tabs and lock them in place. For older MaxxFan models or other standard 14" x 14" roof vents, the included brackets and stainless-steel hardware make it easy to bolt on securely. The translucent white finish blends in cleanly on the roof and still lets in light.

Dear etrailer.com Team,

I recently
purchased two MaxxAir 2 vent covers from your website, and I wanted to share my experience. The delivery was timely, and the product arrived in good condition, which I greatly appreciate.

However, I encountered an issue during installation. Following the provided instructions, I mounted the vent covers centered on the vent lid frame. Unfortunately, this positioning prevented the lid from opening or closing properly. After some trial and error, I resolved the issue by adjusting the covers 5/8 inch to the rear, which allowed the lid to function correctly.

Overall, the product works well now, but I suggest updating the installation instructions to reflect this adjustment for future customers. Thank you for your prompt service, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others.

Sincerely,
Tim

by:

works great, some hardware was missing or maybe not supplied Not a big deal

by:

installed easy about ten minutes. Have not driven the camper yet, time will tell.

by:

We love the vent cover. It was exactly what we needed.

by:

Installed as advertised. It was simple & quick. It was a pleasure working with etrailer. Would not hesitate to order from them again.

by:

They fit perfectly!

by:

Easily connected to the max air fan. The white does let a lot of light through in the morning, I could see the black being better for less light it that’s a concern

I usually start with 5 star ratings and deduct for negatives. In the case of the MaxxAir II, I have no negatives. The product is well-made and functions as advertised.

I have been very pleased with the MaxxAir II vent covers. Recently we endured a heavy rainstorm. 3.25 inches in a 24 hour period. Not a of water entered our trailer with the vents open.

by:

I recently purchased the MaxxAir fan and this cover took all of 5 miniutes to install. Fit perfect looks great.

by:

Obviously will support great air flow by design, and since I already had a MazzAir fan, installation was super easy

by:

I mounted this cover over a roof vent on a newly acquired cargo trailer. The trailer will be motorcycle storage during the summer off season in Florida.
Instructions included made for the installation relatively simple requiring drilling a few holes and connecting the clips.

by:

These do NOT come with screen on the inside ! The exact ones from 4 yrs ago installed on my rv vents have screens . When you open your vents for fresh air the vent covers will allow bugs to fly in your vent screens . Only way to clean them out is to take all the trim and screens apart . Terribly made had to silicon screen material to the inside . Someone from etrailer Tell Maxair there not like the old ones !

by:

Well engineer. It installed very nicely with no issues. I just purchased a 2027 Brinkley 3100 and the roof vents had pre installed attached points for the vent cover and that made the insulation a breeze.

by:

Love the clips for mounting as my fans have the frame with the tabs built in. The only negative is that the Max Air lids do hit the covers slightly when raised, but don’t seem to affect fan functionality.

The new cover looks great Don! One of these days they will come up with a cover where a lid can fully open, tends to be the case with all the covers. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with all your favorite people =)

by:

Installed 4 MaxxAir II on my RV with ventline roof vents (2 powered and 2 non powered) and installation was a breeze. Would recommend to anyone needing a roof cover with more protection.

by:

The item arrived in a timely manner. I don't thing the plastic is as heavy as I had found on previous/original MaxxAir hoods. Fortunately, flexible enough that I could get it installed when the factory installed solar panel is a little too close to the vent.

  • MaxxAir Vent Cover - Does The Direction Of The EZ-Clip Pins Matter?
Hey Paul, good question. The direction of the clip does not really matter. As long as they are fully inserted, there isn't any risk of them coming out, regardless of which direction they are facing. Movement from travel is not enough to cause them to back out. What trailer and vent fan setup are you running?

Hello Mark, welcome back. The MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA76JR is compatible with your MaxxFan # 4751K. It may not be tall enough for the vent lid to open fully, but as long as the lid is 50% open you will be getting maximum airflow and you will definitely be able to achieve that with the cover installed. • What To Do If My Vent Lid Is Hitting The Vent Cover?
Hi Shawn! You're dealing with a common issue when installing a MaxxAir II cover # MA76JR on a MaxxFan 4751KS, like the # MA00-04751KSX. Here’s the situation you're running into: -First, the MaxxFan lid opens almost vertical when fully opened (especially when turned on), which lifts it very high off the roof — too high for the MaxxAir II to clear with standard mounting. -Second, the brackets included with MaxxAir II are made for normal lower-profile vents, like typical crank vents, not...

  • Are Any RV Roof Vent Covers Over 11" Tall
RV roof vent covers throughout the industry max out at 10-1/4" tall so you'd be limited to this height. Manufacturers know that this won't allow for the vent lid to fully open but have stated that as long as the lid is opened at least 50% there will be no issues with performance. I recommend matching the cover to the brand of vent you have to make installation easier. • Troubleshooting MaxxFan RV Roof Vent Cover that Catches on Lid
Hey Adam, that is an odd thing to happen with the MaxxAir Vent Cover part # MA76JR. I would open the cover and see if there's anything obvious that's off with the louvers of the cover that might cause the lid to catch. I'd also check the lid to see if there's anything there as well that might be creating problems. There's really only one way to install this so if you don't see anything obvious you might try filing down either the cover or the lid to allow for better clearance.

  • Should the MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover be Installed with a Seal to Keep Bugs Out?
Hello again Bruce, Thanks for the question! The MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover w/ EZClip - White # MA76JR is not designed to seal to the roof, and that is actually intentional. It sits above the vent with open space so you still get strong airflow, which is what keeps your RV from getting hot and stuffy. For bugs, the protection does not come from the cover itself. Your roof vent should already have a built-in interior screen, and that is what keeps insects from getting into...

  • What is Difference Between MaxxAir I and MaxxAir II RV Roof Vent Covers
Hey Nanook, so the MaxxAir I vent cover part # MA00-933066 was designed as a standard RV roof vent cover that would attach to the vent assembly in a universal way and is not designed to be temporarily removable. This will work with a Ventline but won't attach to side tabs. The MaxxAir II part # MA76JR only works with the MaxxAir RV Roof Vents and has unique mounting brackets that match those vent assemblies.

  • Is Replacement Hardware Kit Available for MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover w/ EZClip
Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out! The closest thing we have to a replacement hardware kit for the MaxxAir II RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover w/ EZClip # MA76JR is the Kit # MA94GR. This comes with the brackets, the pin clips, and some of the screws, but it's technically for a different rain cover so it doesn't have all of the screws, washers, and nuts. Since these are really close in price-point I recommend just going with the whole kit so you get a new cover out of it as well.
